2 Trill is the sophomore album of the twenty year veteran, Bernard “Bun B” Freeman. Given his overall timeline in rap you may be surprised to hear me say that he has made strides in between his solo efforts, which are normally associated with young artists new to the game. Overall from the beginning to the end this album has the feel of an album while at times Trill felt like a mixtape, that had been the only previewed what Bun B was capable of. |

The Roots Crew Returns Again! Rising Down begins with a recording of a phone call between a few Roots members in 1994. Showing the group in different, lesser seen fashion. It is vague what sparked this phone conversation, but you can tell doubt grew on the status of the group. One could imagine if this had been public back in 1994, most fans would have likely seen the future of the group as doubtful, but here they are in there 8th LP for 2008. |
